PRECIOUS ALLOY FOR LONG LASTING OF RESISTANCE
The main structure of the metal box is made in Aluzinc®, a steel laminate with a special metallic
covering. The steel gives mechanical strength, and the covering, composed mainly of an alloy of zinc
and aluminium, guarantees excellent resistance against corrosion, thanks to the combination of the
rustproof characteristics of zinc and the invulnerability of aluminium to corrosion caused by external
agents.
This makes Aluzinc® a material with superb characteristics of resistance, even in particularly harsh
environments. Only Scrigno uses this precious material for its metal door frame boxes, enabling them
to be given a long-lasting guarantee against corrosion.
This also means fewer problems with maintenance and assistance after installation. For users, the
guarantee means absolute quality, with the certainty that any problems that might emerge will be
solved, and that deterioration caused by wear and the consequent need for maintenance will be avoided.
MODULAR SIDES
The sides of the frames are composed of modular sections that allow the expansion that occurs between different materials like cement and steel to be absorbed. This gives installers the advantage of easier installation, with better uniformity of finished walls over the embedded frame. For users, this means an improved appearance of finished walls.
VERTICAL CORRUGATIONS
Vertical corrugations on the frame sides give it extra rigidity. The special “swallowtail” shape
of the corrugations prevents the detachment of the plaster. On versions for finishing in plaster,
the metal boxes are fitted with a galvanized steel mesh, without welding points, to prevent the
formation of rust. Frame sides for plasterboard finishes have horizontal reinforcement bars to
facilitate installation and the fixing of sheets of plaster. Versions specifically prepared for different
wall finishing types are an advantage for installers, simplifying installation and optimising finishes
both in plasterwork or plasterboard. Users can benefit from perfectly smooth and uniform walls, also
avoiding the appearance of ugly rust stains.
THE MESH
Frames are supplied complete with a special plastering mesh. Fixed to the edges of the metal box
where it meets the wall, this mesh protects against cracking of the plaster.
This special mesh in fibreglass has been chosen because it is suitable for walls of all types, is easy
to use and offers excellent resistance, thanks to its particularly tight structure.
This allows installers to finish walls efficiently and with absolute technical perfection of plaster on
all types of wall. Users benefit from excellent wall finishes free from defects and with the best visual
results.
PRE-DRILLED BASE
The lower base is pre-drilled for fitting of the guide stub, so that the door can disappear completely into the metal box. The stub can also be adjusted in height for optimal door position using the spacers supplied with the frame. The possibility of perfect door fitting is yet another important advantage for installers.
THE SLIDING SYSTEM
Composed of a track in anodized aluminium and a pair of hangers with a supporting capacity of 120
kg for each door, guaranteed to give long use.
• Each hanger has four wheels with a diameter of 27 mm, all running on ball bearings and complete
with protection covers, ensuring easy sliding with the minimum force.
• Lateral play between the track and the hanger is reduced to a minimum, giving constantly straight
sliding movements.
• Vertical play is also reduced, with wheels that project with respect to the steel body, eliminating all
problems of sway on doors.
With these important details SCRIGNO once more confirms that great attention has been dedicated
to functional quality in this product, not as an end in itself but aimed at improving performance
even
further, so that the product can perfectly fulfil its functions.
Users will enjoy a greater perception of quality and comfort, as straight door sliding, without sway or
jerkiness, will increase the satisfaction with these solutions.
THE ADJUSTABLE END STOP
Fitted with a screw to adjust attachment height on the track, giving perfect suspension of the door
when closed, regardless of door dimensions and weight.
THE DOOR SUSPENSION BRACKET
Together with the vertical adjustment o the hangers, guarantees constantly optimal door fitting. Maintenance operations are also simplified, given that the door can be removed and reassembled from either side. For installers this means optimal installation and easier door removal and replacement. For users, this means trouble-free maintenance when required.
PROTECTIVE FILM
Applied on the visible part of the guide to prevent against possible dirtying with mortar or other materials, impairing smooth operation. This is a useful precaution to help installers do their work with the greatest success.
DOUBLE DAMPER SET-UP
In line with Scrigno’s goal, always looking for a possible improvement of its products, the Gold Base,
Gold Base Doppio and Essential subframes evolve to accommodate a new accessory: the double
damper. They have been equipped with a sliding track and a hanger redesigned and prepared for the
installation of this damper, able to slow down the door both during opening and closing.
This product is tested in two versions: one for door weighing a maximum of 30 kg and one for door
weighing a maximum of 50 kg. The double damper system ensures the door panels slide and approach
in the best way, reducing to a minimum the force required to allow release from the retention system
during closure.
Product that can be installed on Gold Base and Essential single and double sliding subframes only with
Scrigno Gold brand inside the track.
