The story of Scrigno
Established in 1989, Scrigno is a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of exclusive counter frames for pocket sliding doors and windows, 100% Made in Italy. The company is headquartered at Sant’Ermete, in the commune of Santarcangelo di Romagna (Rimini), with facilities covering 50,000 sq.m., and a factory just a few kilometres away in Savignano sul Rubicone, measuring 30,000 sq.m. under cover.
With approx. 180 employees making 500,000 counter frames a year for export to over 30 countries, Scrigno boasts a turnover of more than 70 million euro in 2021 – over 50% in foreign sales - and is well known as a benchmark and leader in the industry.
Trademark and quality
Painstaking care down to the smallest detail, for every single element. In its 30 years of business, Scrigno has now become an institution. Its unequivocal trademark is impressed on the side of every sliding door.
Concealed when shut, revealed when open. On the wooden upright, on the track: the trademark certifies every single component of the modular system. A part of the whole; the whole, in every part.
How the idea for the first sliding door in Italy came to be
Santarcangelo di Romagna, 1987.
It all started here. The story of the Scrigno pocket
sliding door, the first system to be patented in Italy,
is deeply rooted on state road 9 along Via Emilia, between
Rimini and San Marino and just a stone’s throw from
the noble palazzos, alleyways and piazzas of one of the most historical towns in Emilia Romagna.
