Counter frame for Folding Door

When you have a limited amount of space, but want to ensure large passageways between the rooms of your home, Applauso is the ideal solution. The Applauso counter frame for indoor use consists of a compact case, devised to accommodate a folding sliding door whose leaves fold onto one another to reduce the amount of space required to contain them in the structure. Applauso is available in the single door or double door version for masonry. The cases are fitted opposite one another with doors sliding in opposite directions. The case has an internal space of 134 mm for an overall wall thickness of 170 mm. The size of the opening width varies from 600 to 1200 mm in width for a single door, and reach up to 2400 mm for the double door. The standard height is 2000/2100 mm.

Case
One or two cases can be installed depending on your requirements. The structure is made of Aluzinc (aluminium, zinc and silicon), which is a corrosion-resistant material. The case for masonry features a galvanised arc-welded plastering mesh on the side members and is secured to the structure by specific metal staples. A fine fibre glass plastering mesh is supplied, for positioning between the case and the masonry to prevent the plaster from cracking and/or flaking. The underside of the case is designed to secure the structure to the floor and to mount the door panel guide cylinder rod, while the upper part consists of a track-holder profile complete with bayonet locking spring. The front cover trim is fitted with storage pockets for the installation spacers. The clamps are fitted to the rear of the case for improved anchoring with masonry.

Track crosspiece
The extruded anodised aluminium profile forms the track crosspiece. To ensure the perfect alignment of the hangers and the insertion of the PVC spacers, the profile has been specially shaped. In the case of double doors, the profiles are joined together via a connecting bracket and attached to the upper base of the two cases.

Hanger
The kit includes all the accessories necessary for the assembly of a folding door. The hangers have a maximum carrying capacity of 120 kg per door, are fitted with four wheels each and coated in nylon with sealed ball bearings.
