The new collection of security doors designed by Egidio Panzera
Three models, three exterior design ranges, one single design vision: a new aesthetic frontier in security is born

Scrigno is beginning a new chapter in its history with Archè, a range of security doors which combine technical innovation, aesthetic refinement and architectural vision. The name, from the Greek “ἀρχή”, evokes the origin, the founding principle of a project. Scrigno’s starts out from an element which is essential in the vision of every architect: the wall. From this stationary point a new idea of living takes shape, where design meets beauty in a natural manner which is consistent with the space – space which today goes beyond the traditional boundaries between the inside and outside, and which requires solutions capable of offering visual continuity, protection and architectural harmony in both contexts.
The designer is architect Egidio Panzera, who has taken on the role of creative director for Scrigno’s new range of security doors. With Archè, Panzera translates the idea of the security door into form, substance and detail. It is a concept which goes beyond the idea of a protective boundary, becoming an active element in recounting the space.
“Scrigno was born of the meeting between technology and creativity, interpreting openings as a surface to be designed. Archè brings this vision to life: the security doors are designed in direct relationship with the wall, like an architectural episode in close contact with matter and light.”
– Egidio Panzera

Archè is the result of reflection on the present and the ways people are changing. This collection is an interpretation of a new way of living – more sensitive, emotional, aware – where the home becomes a refuge, relationship, harmony between private and professional time. The design approach for Archè was profoundly human-centric, reflecting the widespread search for balance, well-being and authentic connection with materials and spaces.

Three models, one single philosophy
The Archè collection of security doors features three flush models, designed to offer maximum design freedom and technical precision:

Axial – with flush-fitting pivoting opening, for a minimalist, sculpturally spectacular impact.
Levos – with flush-fitting swing opening, which emphasises its perfect integration in the wall.
Synkro – with swing opening flush with edging trim, for contexts requiring discreet elegance and versatile solutions.
The flush interior, with perfect continuity between the door and wall/edging trim, is an interpretation of one of the most significant trends in contemporary design: creating fluid, coherent spaces, in which the architectural elements are in mutual dialogue in a discreet yet distinctive fashion. The interior side of the Archè range of doors is completely customisable to ensure complete integration with the walls – creating clean, continuous, almost invisible aesthetics.
On the outside, on the other hand, are the panels from the Materia, Tracce and Heritage lines, designed to provide a more expressive design vision which brings together texture, storytelling and size. Rigatino is another option here, a new cladding for frame and internal profile designed by Egidio Panzera: the vertical texture of this finish defines a subtle yet distinctive graphical feature, capable of emphasising the constructional elegance of the system and leaving a mark which is recognisable even in the strictest formal minimalism.
The models in the Archè range confirm the flexibility and consistency of the entire platform: a structure designed to precisely meet the needs of the world of design and new residential sensibilities.

Materia, Tracce, Heritage: the three exterior design ranges of the Archè collection
The Archè collection of security doors is structured into three dedicated exterior design ranges – Materia, Tracce, Heritage – available for all models, each with a precise image.
Materia is emblematic of Scrigno’s new design sensibility: a narrative made up of textures, geometries, surfaces and tactile sensations. The designs in this range are the result of attentive research and selection of fine materials, with textures and finishes ranging from Polished Green Marble, Polished Calacatta Oro Marble and Bush-Hammered Pietra Piasentina Stone to Raw Steel and Aged Brass, with glass finishes, veneered wood and raised wood grain.
By combining different materials, shapes and colours, Materia offers a range of compositional possibilities which provide unique and surprising results. The combinations proposed by Panzera himself are not binding, but rather initial suggestions: stimuli to free the designer’s creativity, offering maximum customisation and expressive freedom. Each exterior surface is designed to set up dialogue with the space, to welcome light and convey emotions.
The designs of the Materia range translate these concepts into visual and tactile solutions:
Accordo: a harmonious meeting between materials and volumes, where the tall base is transformed into architectural memory.
Frammento: the idea of broken material put back together, like a mosaic of experiences.
Tratto: carved lines which become a graphical gesture, a tale.
Trama: weaving carved in the surface, evocation of textiles and living material.
Segmento: rhythm and proportion, an exercise in minimalism.
Tracce is a range which explores the evocative power of carved surfaces. Born of Egidio Panzera’s reflection on the relationship between textural identity and light, it transforms the door into a map of visual and tactile splendour. The exterior panels are inspired by natural landscapes, organic textures and timeless architectural archetypes, becoming an alphabet of signs offered to the designer to compose unique tales. Through sophisticated carving techniques, the Tracce panels take on life and invite the gaze to linger, to read, to imagine.
Heritage was born of the idea of a measured and timeless elegance. It is a selection of panels chosen directly by Panzera, which reinterpret the warmth of tradition through modern, refined aesthetics. Designed to seamlessly adapt to very different contexts – from the most minimalistic to spaces with architectural or historic restrictions – this range provides a versatile palette of textures, colours and veining to clad every product in a consistent, characterful manner.
Every Materia, Tracce and Heritage design is intended to set up dialogue with the external wall, bring in light, and provide joy to those who cross the threshold.

Beyond the threshold, a new way to look at living
Archè is the prelude to a new conception of Scrigno’s identity: a brand which is ever more capable of offering not just opening systems, but architectural solutions – from sliding doors, pocket door systems and security doors to designer staircases – in which technical rigour and creative vision come together to shape sensitive, relational, contemporary living.
