Counter frame to conceal a sliding door from view

The Scrignotech solution for construction sites is the counter frame by Scrigno. It is a quality product. The mark “Stech“ is engraved on the sliding bar, and can also be visible once the product has been fitted. The counter frame is available in two different versions: for plaster and for plasterboard. The plaster model is installed on masonry walls with an overall wall thickness of 90/105/125/145 mm, while the plasterboard version on wall structures covered in plasterboard for a finished thickness of 100/125 mm. Both models can be single or double door. There are multiple dimensions. In both versions the opening width varies between 600 and 1200 mm for single door and between 1200 and 2400 mm for double door, the height measurement is standard. A non-standard version is available upon request with a height of 2400 mm for both masonry and plasterboard walls. Scrigno offers a 10-year guarantee on the sliding system.

Case
Made of galvanised steel, the case consists of various parts. In the side members and rear profile the pane has a thickness of 0.5 mm whereas for the top or bottom profiles the thickness is 0.8 mm. The side member consists of a single block of sheet metal with vertical corrugations with a pitch of 100 mm. Horizontal structure reinforcements are fitted on the case for plasterboard, whereas the side members of the plaster case is fitted with a galvanised arc-welded plastering mesh which is secured by specific metal staples. A fine fibre glass plastering mesh is supplied, for positioning between the metal structure and the masonry to prevent the plaster from cracking and flaking. Two alignment spacers are also supplied and the upper profile is designed to lock the track during insertion.

Sliding system
The sliding track is in aluminium with PVC side profiles. The upper crosspiece is secured to the case profile by a snap mechanism, whereas it is secured to the wall side by nails pre-assembled on the wooden upright. The structure is supplied with a hanger kit comprising a pair of hangers with ball bearings with a carrying capacity of 100 kg and accessories to assemble the door panel.
Track supports and joining pins are included for double door openings. Moreover, the track is supplied with a protective film which is useful during assembly.
